New copper throughout, expansion tank, backflow preventer and a condensate pump for the heat pump’s drain. The tank reads 125° and its EnergyGuide label estimates $117 a year to run — the manufacturer’s figure at national average rates, so your bill will differ, but it is the lowest of any unit on this page.

An aging furnace and a Rheem gas tank wedged into a corner with barely a foot of clearance. Out came both. The new A. O. Smith tank is power-vented — a blower and a PVC run replace the corroded metal flue the old unit was breathing through — and the new Goodman furnace got fresh venting of its own. Same corner, same footprint, done in one visit.

The water heater here was fine and stayed put — this one was all boiler. The old unit came out of a closet packed with forty years of patched copper and a rusting galvanized flue. The replacement is a U.S. Boiler Series 2 with a new expansion tank, a new stainless flue, a backflow preventer, and the near-boiler piping rebuilt from scratch so the next person who opens that door can actually read it.

Furnace, air conditioning and water heater, all replaced in a single appointment. The old gas tank was tucked in a closet narrow enough that you had to turn sideways to reach it — the new State unit went back into the same slot, with a thermal expansion tank added on the cold line. Outside, the new condenser sits on a level pad with the line set strapped and run clean up the brick. No second trip, no waiting on another trade.

A Daikin ductless system for a house with no ductwork to work with. One outdoor unit feeds wall-mounted heads in separate rooms, with the line sets run outside in covered channels rather than torn through finished walls. The old window shaker is still hanging in the frame two windows over — that is what this replaced.

A service upgrade end to end: new exterior meter socket and service disconnect on the outside wall, new panel inside, and every circuit re-landed and labelled by hand on the directory card. The old service came out and the new one went in on the same day the utility cut power — because we hold the electrical licence ourselves, there was no waiting on a second contractor to finish the job.
